Operating in South Africa since 1999, these 2 & 3 week camping expeditions offer an exciting, hands-on educational experience for students and vet nurses, techs and assistants alike. Participants interact with rangers, veterinarians and researchers working in the field, giving an insight into their life, successes and today’s conservation challenges in Africa.
The mission of this program is to introduce participants to the reality of African wildlife conservation. Relating species to their natural habitat contributes much to the greater understanding of the interaction of life.
A unique experience from the first day when you board the Safari bus and head off towards the wildlife rich areas of the beautiful country that is South Africa. Our passion is education and enriching your life through these hands-on and up close practical programs facilitated by local veterinarians and wildlife conservationists. Travelling to various locations is what sets this program apart from the rest. Participants also meet and learn from pioneers in game capture and those actively involved in the field of wildlife veterinary science on a day-to-day basis. The program includes a Capture and Care course where students participate in actual game capture operations. Students also visit a world renowned wildlife rehabilitation centre and a reptile research park.
