Make a genuine difference to the lives of village children by volunteering at a school or kinder on the beautiful Philippines island of Palawan.   
You have the choice of working with younger kids at a village kindergarten or schoolchildren in a primary or secondary school.  Whichever you choose you will be a great help to the local teaching staff and an exciting new presence for the kids.     
 
At the kinder, the kids are aged between 3 and 5 and demand a lot of attention.  You will help take care of the kids during kinder sessions as well as creating some activities of your own with crafts, songs and games.  You can add particular value and have fun by teaching basic English language.   
 
If you choose to help at the school you will provide a great service both to the kids and the teachers.  You’ll conduct informal English classes through different activities such as music and song, conversation and grammar, arts, sports and games.  Get creative, with planning support and guidance from our coordinator, always keeping in mind that the mission is to teach practical English for everyday situations in a fun and engaging way!  By showing initiative and enthusiasm the options are endless. 
 
A classroom assistant from overseas is always the source of much excitement and interest, so you are encouraged to bring along photos, maps and other visual aids from home.  Volunteers with teaching experience and those without will both be able to make a very significant and worthwhile contribution.
